
Through various grassroots efforts, we provide direct aid to asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants on both sides of the Texas/Mexico border, primarily along the Rio Grande Valley.
We have set up projects in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, MX, Brownsville, TX and McAllen, TX, and have serviced asylum seekers in destinations all over the USA.
Asylum Seeker Network of Support, Inc. originated in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, MX when founder Gaby Zavala, B.S. began to volunteer with Team Brownsville in 2018.
While Coordinating and delivering food to asylum seekers forced to wait in Mexico to access the asylum process in United States of America, ASNS founder gained first hand insight into the complexity of the immigrant journey to safety.
ASNS combines trauma informed care with direct services for refugees and asylum seekers to provide a holistic approach in the delivery of social support and legal services to asylum seekers, immigrants, and refugees.
Since then, ASNS founder has responded to changes within the immigrant communities, particularly those seeking asylum.
